The University of Cincinnati’s Occupational Medicine Residency Training
Program (OMRTP) includes both PGY-2 (primarily academic) and PGY-3 (practicum)
years. Applicants must have a PGY-1 (clinical year) before admission to
the OMRTP. The PGY-1 year must be completed at an Accreditation Council
for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) approved program. The recommended
areas are Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
International graduates must pass the TOEFL and GRE before an application package for the OMRTP will be sent. The minimum passing score for the TOEFL is 580, and for the GRE it is 1500.
The OMRTP does not participate in the Match program. First offers of admission traditionally are made December 15th. After that date, the program has a rolling admissions policy based on available positions. Applications are reviewed as files are completed.
